John Davenport Siddeley 1866-1953

John Davenport Siddeley 1866-1953. Later became Lord Kenilworth. This picture was taken in 1892. Siddeley is in the centre of the group with his hand on the bicycle seat. He was the first person to ride from Lands End to John O'Groats using a bicycle he designed himself. He went into the motor industry and became an important figure for a number of different firms. His name was attached to a number of different cars including Wolseley Siddeley, Siddeley Deasy and Armstrong Siddeley.
