Historic AUSTIN HEALEY films digitally remastered for DVD including period adverts and previously unreleased footage.

Record breaking has always grabbed headlines, especially in the all-important American market, and during the 1950s Austin Healey did not want to be left out.

Join them in 1953 on the famous Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah, scene of so many speed attempts because of the unique properties of this particular stretch of desert. A specially prepared Austin Healey 100 is put through its paces alongside two standard showroom models chosen at random by the American Automobile Association. The following year we return to see more breathtaking feats using the most beautiful of the streamliners based on the Austin-Healey 100, as well as the prototype Austin Healey 100 S. And in 1959 there are more record attempts using the famous EX 179 powered by an Austin Healey Sprite engine.

Go on to share in the realisation of Donald Healey's ambition to design a car which could achieve more than 200 miles per hour on the road. Then attend the launch of the quirky Austin Healey 'Frog Eye' Sprite. Enjoy rare footage of racing drivers John Bolster and Roy Salvadore enjoying themselves with the Frogeye in the rain at Silverstone.
