Motorgraphs
At the heart of Motorgraphs is the extensive historic photographic archive of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (BMIHT) along with two exceptional private collections – the Grand Prix Library and the Spitzley Collection. Between them these priceless resources span over a 100 years of the motor industry and motor sport including racing, rallying, advertising, manufacturing and social history.
Motorgraphs does for prints what Motorfilms has been doing for film since 2002. Now the very best quality archive motoring movies are complemented by some of the finest still photography available in this field.
Prime movers behind Motorgraphs and Motorfilms are film maker/researcher David Weguelin, motor racing historian/writer Doug Nye and motor industry historian/BMIHT Archivist Gillian Bardsley.

The Photographers
George Monkhouse, Geoffrey Goddard, Nigel Snowdon, ‘Jabby’ Crombac, Franco Lini, the official photographers of the Longbridge Cowley and Rover factories, the associates comprising Zooom Photographic, Edward Eves, Alexandre ‘Shura’ Rahm and – from before World War One – the pioneering Maurice-Louis Branger.
What we offer
Each of these Collections can offer only a small proportion of its total holdings on this site and the images available will be changed and extended at regular intervals.
Prints for private use can be obtained directly from the site. Scans for commercial purposes such as publication, press, graphic, and exhibition use are also available on request.
